There will be many of us who would have grown reading the great stories of Sherlock Holmes and there have been a few lucky ones as well who saw those stories being transformed to a whole new dimension on the big picture. Adventure, thriller, mystery, suspense, etc are some of the phrases which are all part of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books and have been defined in reference to these books. Who knew what gravitational force is until Newton defined it? Similarly, mystery was undefined until Sherlock came to the party. It has always been a treat to read the novels and more importantly, even the movies have been able to create the same suspense around the plot. So when there’s so much to explore in this epic, why not go one step further and check out what all the possibilities are!
Sherlock: Interactive Adventure is not the name of a new Sherlock Holmes movie but it’s an iOS app that has been developed HAAB. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 6.1 or any later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

It’s a novel cum movie but cannot be related to anyone perfectly. They have taken “The Red-Headed League” chapter from the original novel and have built a picture around that with their own source of imagination. There are two parts of the app: one is the novel and second is the audio version. The novel consists of thirty slides, each with original text and an animation at the top. The animation seems to be a picture at first but as you swipe your fingers over it, you can have a 360 degree view of the complete picture. It gives you a better understanding of the plot and you won’t have to imagine everything as it’s already done by the developers.
The audio version narrates the complete story with the animation being played as a video. So it’s like you’re watching an original movie and the graphics will certainly mesmerise you. They have been designed especially for this app. Moreover, you’re watching from the eyes of Dr. Watson and therefore you’re a part of each crime and the further investigation. You can search the clues hidden in the animations and add them to your collection so that you can take a closer look at them. Also, don’t leave anybody from your suspicious eyes and keep an eye on them to make sure you don’t miss the big cat.
The app is available for free in the App Store though it’s just a small part of the complete story. The complete story is available at a price of just $2.99 which is not even considerable for such an adventure to go through. You should definitely buy this one even if you haven’t read the Sherlock Holmes novels because it’s a perfect way to start!
