FARKLE LIVE – WATCH AS YOUR LUCK ‘ROLLS’
Summary: Addictive gameplay; both offline and online modes; free.
It’s true that some of the best apps ever are based on some simple mechanisms and most of them are inspired from the regular day activities and games that we play in our childhood. All of you guys must have played Snake and Ladder. It is still one of the most interesting and addictive games that one can enjoy with family; all you want is a Snake & Ladder board and a dice. But what if you are alone? You can’t play it against yourself. There comes the role of Farkle Live.
Farkle Live is a new iOS app that has been developed by Playkot. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later version of the OS. The app works on a very simple concept and is much easier to play. All you need to do is roll six dice one by one and collect points. But you need to get some specific combinations such as one and two or double three. All these combinations have some points attached to them shown on the side of your screen. You need to score some minimum points before you can collect them.
The game has several modes: training, play for chips, play with friend and play online. In the training mode, you can sharpen your skills though a lot depends upon your luck. Play for chips is an offline mode where you have to first choose a bid and set your target points. If you achieve the target, you get double or triple of your bet as you decide. Then in the online mode, you can compete with other players. In the multiplayer game, whoever reaches a score of 5,000 to 10,000 first wins the game.
The graphics of the app are very sharp and true. The gameplay is very addictive and it is endless fun as there are no levels, just pure fun. You can also give your chips to your friends and you can login with Facebook and post your scores. The app is available for free in the App Store. However, there are many in-app purchases available for chips. Do check out this game in the App Store now.
