We all love plat former games. They are a call back to a previous generation of games that are hard to come by on the mainstream platforms like play station and XBOX, which is why Android is the new home of plat former games for all gamers looking for a bit of nostalgia trip.

(i) Concept Hamad and Sarah is a plat former available for free on Android that is based around Arab Folk Tales. You can collect coins and bump the blocks above you just like in old Mario games; and you can also throw eggs and find keys to progress in the game. It closely follows what many know and love about plat former games; making it feels familiar even from the first playthrough. It would be nice to see some original concepts within the game as it does borrow a lot from classic platformers.

(ii) Visuals, The visuals follows the same basis as classic platformers like Mario or Kirby; but the graphics are smooth and authentic of an Arab land with slums, desert and beaches. It definitely feels like a world-of-its-own that is easy to get immersed in.

(iii) User interface, The user interface is fairly straight forward; it is easy to navigate through the game and the buttons are out of the way but big enough to press easily. The status bars do take up a little too much room; but it is not an issue that really affects the game play.

(iv) User Experience, the size of the game was a little bigger than I was expecting (over 200 MBS) but apart from that, my experience was a positive one. The game feels and looks like an Arab fantasy and there are story telling elements that help the game feel more unique.

Overall, it is a fun game that was easy to learn and provided a nostalgia and entertainment with ease. It is suitable for children and adults who are looking for a fun and easy game to play and with over thirty levels there is a lot of contents to explore too. The developers did a nice job with this game, giving us nostalgia from the game we knew and love while also making the game feel fresh and unique with the Arabian setting. It deserves a 4 out of 5 stars rating.
